Breast Lift in Turkey: Costs, Scars and Recovery

Breast Lift in Turkey: Costs, Scars and Recovery

A breast lift in Turkey can reshape breasts that have lost their position or firmness after pregnancy, weight changes or ageing. The operation removes excess skin and repositions breast tissue and the nipple. It does not automatically make the breasts larger, and adding an implant is a separate decision.

Published prices checked on 28 October 2026 include a HayatMed mastopexy package advertised at €2,900–€4,000, with surgery, hospital care, accommodation and transfers described as included. This is one provider’s published offer, not a Turkish national average or a Sevclinic quotation. Your own price depends on the technique, any implants and the care included.

The central decision is what you want to change: position, volume, weight or a combination. A useful consultation connects that goal with the scar pattern, likely recovery and limits of the result. The smallest incision is not always the one that can deliver the correction you need.

What is a breast uplift?

Mastopexy is the medical term for a breast lift, also called a breast uplift or, informally, a boob lift. The surgeon reshapes the breast and removes surplus skin. The areola can sometimes be reduced as part of the plan.

A lift may help when the breast sits lower than you would like, the nipple points downwards or the skin envelope has stretched. It cannot promise a particular bra cup, perfect symmetry or permanent resistance to ageing. If the main concern is a larger volume or a smaller, lighter breast, the procedure may need to be different.

Your main goalWhat to discuss
A higher breast position with similar volumeA lift without implants.
More volume or upper fullnessWhether augmentation is needed, with or without a lift.
Smaller, lighter breasts as well as a different shapeReduction and reshaping rather than a lift alone.
Differences between the breastsWhich differences involve size, nipple position, skin or the chest wall.
Changes after major weight lossSkin quality, tissue volume and the timing of broader contouring.

Our overview of the main breast-reshaping options can help you separate these aims. Bring a clear description of what bothers you rather than assuming every change requires an implant.

How much does a breast lift in Turkey cost?

A blank folder, travel wallet and unmarked calculator arranged for planning treatment expenses

The cost of a breast lift in Turkey depends on the amount of reshaping, the incision pattern, previous surgery and whether another procedure is added. A limited lift and a more extensive correction do not involve the same work. Accommodation, aftercare and the possibility of a staged operation also affect the total.

US breast-lift reference from ASPS$6,816 average surgeon feeExcludes anaesthesia, operating-room facilities and related expenses; it is not a complete package price.

The Turkish package above was checked on 28 October 2026 and the ASPS figure was checked on the same date. They use different currencies and cover different expenses, so we have not calculated a saving between them. A fair comparison needs complete quotations for equivalent operations.

What should an all-inclusive package contain?

Before paying for a breast lift in Turkey, ask for the surgeon, facility, operation and aftercare in one written document. A hotel category or transfer service tells you little about the medical care unless the clinical arrangements are clear too.

  • The named operating surgeon and the exact lift or combined procedure.
  • The proposed incision pattern and whether implants are included.
  • Anaesthesia, preoperative assessment and the planned hospital stay.
  • Dressings, prescribed medicines, support bra and wound checks.
  • Hotel nights, companion arrangements and transfers.
  • Any excluded flights, additional tests or extra nights.
  • Follow-up after returning home and access to urgent assessment.
  • Deposit, cancellation, complication and revision terms.

Keep enough flexibility for an extended stay. A slightly higher complete quote may be easier to budget for than a low headline with unclear extras, but the price alone does not establish quality. Ask what happens if examination shows that your original plan is unsuitable.

Why is a lift with implants priced differently?

A combined operation adds a device and another set of planning decisions. Implant model, dimensions, pocket placement and future monitoring matter alongside the lift. If treatment is staged, a second anaesthetic, facility visit and journey may need to be budgeted for.

The guide to lifting and adding volume in the same treatment plan explores those trade-offs. Do not assume the lowest lift-only package includes an implant or that every patient should have both procedures.

Who is a candidate for a breast lift in Turkey?

You may consider a breast lift in Turkey when your breast position bothers you, your weight is reasonably stable and you understand the scar trade-off. General health, nicotine use, healing history and your expectations all influence suitability. An examination is needed to decide what can realistically improve.

The surgeon will assess breast size and shape, nipple position, areola size, skin quality and existing differences between the sides. A photograph may help an initial discussion, but it cannot fully establish tissue quality or replace a clinical examination.

Tell the team about previous operations, breast problems, screening results, medicines and supplements. Any new lump, unexplained discharge or skin change needs medical assessment before it is treated as a cosmetic concern. Bring relevant records if you have had surgery elsewhere.

Is there a best age for a breast lift?

There is no single best age. Someone in their thirties after pregnancy may have different priorities from someone in their sixties after weight loss. Health, tissue condition and the expected benefit matter more than an age label. Older age alone does not settle whether surgery is appropriate.

If your breasts feel too heavy as well as low, compare the options for reducing breast size and weight. Removing tissue and lifting it can be part of the same operation, but the aims and the quotation should reflect that.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and weight stability

A future pregnancy can change the shape and position achieved by surgery. If pregnancy or a substantial weight change is likely soon, discuss whether waiting would make more sense. After breastfeeding, ask when your own breast shape has stabilised enough for meaningful planning.

Breastfeeding after mastopexy may be possible, but it cannot be guaranteed. Discuss your priorities before surgery so the surgeon can explain how the proposed technique may affect sensation, ducts and feeding. Do not rely on another patient’s experience as a prediction for your body.

Lift techniques and the scars they leave

A clinician gesturing beside an unmarked medical torso model during breast-shape planning

The technique for a breast lift in Turkey should follow your anatomy and the amount of correction required. Familiar names such as doughnut, lollipop and anchor describe incision patterns. They do not form a simple ranking from outdated to modern or from poor to good.

PatternTypical scar outlineImportant discussion
Periareolar or doughnutAround the areola.Whether a limited approach can achieve your required correction without unacceptable compromises.
Vertical or lollipopAround the areola and down to the breast fold. The reshaping needed and how the lower breast is expected to settle.
Anchor or inverted TAround the areola, vertically down and along the fold.Whether the additional horizontal incision is needed to manage the excess skin.

Ask the surgeon to show the expected incisions on your own anatomy and explain what a shorter pattern would leave untreated. A long scar can be an important compromise in achieving a different degree of correction. It should be discussed clearly rather than discovered after surgery.

What about a scarless lift or the newest technique?

A surgical lift leaves scars. Marketing terms such as scarless, laser lift or internal bra need an explanation of the actual treatment. Ask what tissue is being removed or supported, what material or device is involved and what improvement is reasonably expected.

If mesh or another support material is proposed, request its exact name, purpose, alternatives and specific risks. A technique name cannot establish that a device is appropriate for every breast or that the result will last indefinitely.

Breast lift without implants, with implants or with fat transfer?

Two unbranded translucent implant demonstration models beside a closed plain folder

Choosing a breast lift in Turkey without implants may suit you if you are comfortable with your existing volume and mainly want a different position and shape. Reshaping your own tissue does not add an implant, but it also cannot promise the same upper fullness as an augmentation.

If increasing size is important, compare breast enlargement with an implant with a lift-only plan. Ask the surgeon to distinguish the improvement from repositioning tissue from the change that would depend on adding volume.

OptionPotential aimTrade-off
Lift aloneReshape and reposition existing tissue.Permanent scars; no guaranteed increase in cup size or upper fullness.
Lift with implantsAddress sagging and add volume.More complex planning, device-related risks and future implant follow-up.
Lift with fat transferAdd selected volume using your own fat.Donor-site treatment, variable fat survival and possible repeat treatment.
Reduction with liftingMake the breasts smaller and reshape them.Removal of tissue as well as the scar and recovery considerations.

One operation or two stages can both be reasonable in selected circumstances. The decision depends on the tissue, degree of lift, implant plan and your health. Ask why the surgeon recommends combining or staging treatment and how each approach changes the recovery and total cost.

If only a modest volume change is wanted, using your own fat to restore selected fullness may be worth discussing. It does not remove the need to address stretched skin, and “natural” does not mean risk-free.

The video introduces the difference between adding volume and lifting tissue. Your starting anatomy and priorities still need an individual assessment; another patient’s procedure is not a promise of your result.

Preparing for surgery and your stay

Before a breast lift in Turkey, agree the proposed operation with the surgeon and ask how the in-person examination may change it. An initial online discussion can help you prepare, but you should understand the final scar pattern and any additional procedure before giving consent.

Provide a full list of prescribed medicines, over-the-counter products and supplements. Ask for individual instructions about nicotine, fasting and medication from the surgical and anaesthesia teams. Do not stop a prescribed treatment because a different patient was given different advice.

Arrange help with transport, meals, childcare and shopping. Loose front-opening clothing may be easier to manage than pulling a close-fitting top over your head. Keep work and travel plans flexible enough to attend wound checks or stay longer if necessary.

If pregnancy has also left abdominal concerns, discuss whether removing loose abdominal skin belongs in a separate treatment plan. Breast and abdominal surgery have different demands on movement, support and travel recovery.

What happens during mastopexy?

The surgeon confirms the plan and marks the intended incisions. The anaesthesia team provides the agreed anaesthetic. Tissue is reshaped, the nipple and areola are repositioned as planned, excess skin is removed and the incisions are closed. Areola size may also be adjusted when appropriate.

The procedure duration and hospital stay depend on the operation and any additions. Some patients have day surgery; others stay overnight or longer when clinically needed. Ask what is planned for you and what would change the discharge decision.

Dressings and a support bra are commonly used, and drains may be required in some cases. Before discharge, you should know how to manage your dressings, medicines and any drains, when the first check takes place and whom to contact outside normal hours.

Breast-lift risks and safety

For a breast lift in Turkey, safety starts with an assessment of the patient, the operation and the setting together. A country name, a package category or a photograph cannot establish that surgery is low risk for you. The surgeon should explain the specific factors behind the recommendation.

Possible complications include bleeding, infection, fluid collections, poor healing, asymmetry, changes in sensation, contour irregularities and further surgery. There can also be fat necrosis or partial or total loss of nipple and areola tissue. Anaesthetic complications and blood clots require discussion as part of consent.

Nicotine use, medical conditions and earlier surgery can affect healing or the surgical plan. If implants are added, their complications and long-term monitoring belong in a separate part of the discussion. A lift-only risk description is not enough to explain a combined operation.

Questions about the facility and medical team

  • Which surgeon will operate, and where will surgery take place?
  • Who provides anaesthesia and postoperative monitoring?
  • How is my clotting risk assessed and managed?
  • Who reviews wound concerns during evenings or weekends?
  • What emergency support or transfer arrangements are available?
  • Who will coordinate treatment if a problem develops after I return home?

For someone planning a larger combination of breast and abdominal procedures, ask whether staging is more suitable. The clinical plan should determine the package, not the discount attached to adding another operation.

Symptoms that need prompt or emergency assessment

Get immediate emergency help for breathlessness, chest pain, collapse or other severe symptoms. New one-sided leg pain or swelling needs urgent medical assessment. Do not wait for a remote photo review or try to fly home to seek care.

Contact the surgical team promptly about rapidly increasing breast swelling, worsening pain, fever, spreading redness, unexpected discharge, wound opening or a concerning change in nipple colour. Ask before discharge which symptoms need an emergency department rather than a routine clinic message.

Choosing the right breast-lift surgeon

When comparing surgeons for a breast lift in Turkey, look for an explanation of the proposed correction, not simply a claim to be the best. Relevant training, experience with your type of breast and clear follow-up arrangements matter alongside the consultation itself.

Public information you may encounter includes Dr. Mehmet Uzuner, Prof. Dr. Ferit Demirkan and Dr. Kamil Güray Yeşiladalı. Their names appear in the Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons’ directory. Dr. Uzuner is named as medical reviewer of HayatMed’s breast-lift page; the other surgeons’ practice material describes breast-surgery work.

Surgeon to research independentlyA useful question
Dr. Mehmet UzunerWho would perform the operation in my proposed package, and how is that confirmed?
Prof. Dr. Ferit DemirkanHow do nipple position, skin quality and existing volume affect my lift plan?
Dr. Kamil Güray YeşiladalıWhich operative setting and aftercare arrangements apply to my assessment?

These names are examples for research, not a ranking or a Sevclinic team list. Verify current credentials, operating arrangements and experience directly. A directory entry establishes a public identity; it is not an independent audit of outcomes or proof that the surgeon is right for you.

Ask to see healed results from similar starting anatomy. Check whether implants, reduction or fat transfer were used, and how long after surgery the photographs were taken. A thoughtful surgeon should be able to explain the limitations they see in your case.

Recovery after a breast lift in Turkey

A woman in loose button-front clothing taking a gentle indoor walk with a companion

Recovery after a breast lift in Turkey continues after the hospital stay and the flight home. Early soreness, swelling and tightness can make everyday tasks difficult. Practical help and clear instructions are more useful than expecting to return immediately to your normal routine.

StagePractical focusWhat needs individual advice
Day of surgery and first nightSafe movement, prescribed pain relief, dressings and support after discharge.Whether you can leave hospital and what help is required.
First weekWound checks, simple daily tasks and help with shopping or childcare.Drain or dressing care and symptoms needing examination.
Around two weeksA common point for some light activities and possible work planning.Whether your job, healing and operation permit a return.
Around six weeksA general point for reviewing a return towards normal exercise.Lifting, upper-body training and any remaining restrictions.
Following monthsAllow swelling, shape and scars to settle while attending follow-up.Persistent symptoms or concerns about the result.

BAAPS advises that many patients take at least two weeks off work, depending on their job, and describes a gradual return to exercise around six weeks. These are general landmarks, not permission dates for every operation. A lift with implants, reduction or another procedure may need a different schedule.

How painful is a breast uplift?

Discomfort varies with the person and the operation. Ask how pain will be managed, how symptoms should change and what to do if medicines are not controlling them. Severe or worsening pain should be assessed rather than dismissed as normal recovery.

Driving, lifting and sleep

Do not drive until you can safely control the vehicle and tolerate the necessary movements; check your surgeon’s advice and insurance conditions. Plan help with lifting children, heavy shopping and suitcases. Ask about sleeping positions and support rather than copying another patient’s routine.

If you are also considering removing localised fat from other areas, remember that the combined recovery must cover all treated sites. A second procedure’s restrictions may be the ones that determine your time away from work.

Scars, support bras and wound care

Clean gauze, a plain support bra and an unmarked care tube arranged on a bedside surface

A breast lift in Turkey leaves permanent scars, although their appearance usually changes as healing progresses. Their position follows the incision pattern and the correction required. Skin type, healing history and wound problems can affect how noticeable they become.

Wear the recommended support bra and ask about fit, washing and how long it is needed. Tighter is not automatically better. Report rubbing, pressure or skin changes, and check before switching to underwired bras.

Do not begin scar massage, silicone products or other treatments over an incompletely healed wound without the team’s approval. Follow the dressing and showering plan, and ask when the incision is ready for the next stage of care. Persistent openings or concerning drainage need examination.

How long should you stay in Turkey before flying home?

A peaceful Bosphorus view beside an empty armchair and closed travel case

For a breast lift in Turkey, allow time for the initial assessment, operation and postoperative checks rather than booking a sightseeing schedule. The published HayatMed example describes a stay of about 7–10 days before clearance to travel, but your own plan must follow your surgeon’s assessment.

General NHS guidance advises against flying for 5–7 days after breast surgery. That is not automatic clearance on day seven. Wound concerns, personal clot risk, the flight length and any combined procedure can require a longer wait.

Keep the return journey flexible. Confirm the airline’s requirements and obtain clear insurance information for planned surgery and complications. Know who can provide in-person care locally after you return; a messaging service is not a substitute when examination is needed.

When choosing between Istanbul and Antalya, compare the actual surgeon, facility and follow-up access rather than assuming the city decides the quality. The practical details of a cosmetic-surgery trip to Turkey should support recovery and continuity of care.

Results, photographs and long-term changes

A breast lift in Turkey can improve breast position and shape, but it does not stop ageing or remove the effect of future pregnancy and weight changes. Tissue can stretch again. Discuss what long-term change is likely for your starting anatomy rather than expecting a permanent fixed position.

The early appearance can seem high or tight while swelling is present. Allow the shape to settle and use the follow-up schedule to discuss concerns. Photographs taken at different stages should not be treated as though they show the same point in recovery.

Look for before-and-after examples with consistent posture, lighting and a clear time after surgery. Check whether the patient had a lift alone, an implant or a reduction. A change created by several procedures is not a fair guide to what one operation would do for you.

Read reviews for details about communication, wound checks and how concerns were handled. They can help you prepare questions, but cannot measure your individual risk. Ask about the complaint and revision process before booking, including who assesses a concern and which costs remain yours.

Can sagging breasts be lifted without surgery?

Supportive bras can change how clothing fits, and exercise can improve strength and general fitness. They do not remove surplus breast skin or reproduce the same nipple repositioning as surgery. Creams or device treatments should not be assumed to provide an equivalent lift.

If a non-surgical or minimally invasive treatment is offered, ask for its exact name, expected degree of change, evidence, risks and likely duration. A smaller intervention may fit a smaller goal, but it should be compared honestly with the correction you are seeking.

After major weight loss, loose tissue may affect several areas. Compare options for reshaping loose skin and discuss priorities rather than trying to treat everything in one session. You can decide which concern matters most once the surgical trade-offs are clear.

Frequently asked questions

Will a lift make my breasts smaller?

It can change how your breasts fit in a bra, but a lift is not a guaranteed cup-size reduction. If a smaller, lighter breast is a priority, discuss how much tissue would be removed and whether the operation is more accurately described as a reduction.

Can an implant avoid the need for lifting?

Not reliably when there is significant sagging. Adding volume can leave the breast larger without addressing the position you dislike. Ask the surgeon what augmentation alone would leave unchanged.

Is a lollipop lift better than an anchor lift?

Neither is universally better. They are different incision patterns for different correction needs. A shorter scar is useful only if the chosen technique can achieve an acceptable shape and manage the excess skin.

Will nipple sensation change?

Changes can be temporary or permanent. Ask how the planned technique and any previous surgery affect this risk. Sensation, blood supply and breastfeeding concerns should be part of the consent discussion.

Is fifty or sixty too old?

Age alone does not determine suitability. Medical history, general health, tissue condition and the expected improvement need assessment. A clinician should explain the personal balance of benefit and risk rather than approve or reject surgery by age alone.

Can I have other loose skin treated at the same time?

Sometimes, but additional surgery changes the recovery and overall plan. For example, removing excess upper-arm skin adds its own scars and movement restrictions. Ask whether staging the procedures would be more appropriate.

What if the breasts sag again?

Discuss the change with the surgeon after an appropriate assessment. Ageing and later life changes are different from an early complication. Further treatment is not automatically included in the original price; read the actual revision terms.
