A body lift in Turkey may help when loose skin remains around your waist, abdomen and buttocks after substantial weight loss. The operation removes hanging tissue and reshapes the remaining skin. Its main purpose is contour and comfort, rather than further weight loss.
The first decision is which areas need treatment. A lower body lift, an upper body lift and a plan covering several body regions are different commitments. Before comparing prices, ask for the exact operation, expected scars and recovery arrangements.
Published prices checked on 28 October 2026 include a Turkish agency guide of €5,000–€8,000 for circumferential lifting and another agency’s starting price of €7,650 for lower body lift 360. These are separate published references, not a national average or a Sevclinic quotation.

What does a body lift treat?
Weight loss can leave a fold of skin at the front and further looseness around the sides and back. Clothing may rub, skin folds can be difficult to manage, and your shape may feel disconnected from the weight you have lost. An examination establishes which tissues contribute to those concerns.
Planning a body lift in Turkey starts with that distribution of skin, not the number of kilograms you hope to remove. Some people need front-only treatment. Others have a continuous band of excess tissue that requires an incision extending around the trunk.
Body lifting sits within the wider range of procedures for reshaping the body after weight loss. It does not automatically include the arms, breasts, inner thighs or face. Each additional area needs its own assessment.
| Procedure name | Usual focus | What to clarify |
|---|---|---|
| Lower body lift or belt lipectomy | Lower abdomen, waist, buttocks and outer-thigh region | Whether the planned incision is circumferential and which areas will actually lift |
| 360 or circumferential body lift | A band of excess skin around the lower trunk | The front and back components, scar position and any abdominal repair |
| Upper body lift | Upper-back and chest or breast-region looseness | Which back, chest, breast or arm procedures the term includes |
| Full body lift | A broader plan involving several regions | Every named procedure and whether treatment is staged |
| Panniculectomy | The hanging abdominal apron | Functional skin removal versus additional contouring or muscle repair |
Names are not perfectly consistent between providers. Ask the surgeon to draw the proposed incision and identify the areas left untreated. That gives you a clearer comparison than a package labelled only “full body.”
Body lift, tummy tuck or Lipo 360: which is different?

Body lift versus tummy tuck
A tummy tuck mainly treats the front of the abdomen. Depending on the operation, it can remove excess skin and address separation of the abdominal muscles. A lower body lift extends treatment towards the sides and back, helping lift tissue around the lower trunk.
If you are considering a body lift in Turkey because of a heavy abdominal fold, first establish whether the sides and back also need surgery. Our guide to abdominal skin removal and the different tummy tuck approaches explains the front-focused options. A longer incision is useful only when it addresses a problem you actually have.
Body lift versus liposuction
Liposuction removes localised fat through smaller openings. A body lift removes loose skin through larger incisions. Where skin elasticity is poor, taking away fat alone may leave the skin excess unresolved.
The distinction matters when a package advertises “360.” Liposuction around the waist and lower back describes the distribution of fat removal. Circumferential lifting describes skin excision around the trunk. The same number does not make these equivalent procedures.
When is a fleur-de-lis pattern considered?
Substantial abdominal skin excess may need more than a horizontal incision. A fleur-de-lis approach adds a vertical incision along the middle of the abdomen. This can address excess in another direction, with an additional visible scar. It is a separate design decision, rather than a feature included in every body lift.
Non-surgical tightening and exercise
Exercise can improve strength and fitness, but cannot cut away a hanging skin apron. Energy-based treatments may be discussed for selected skin concerns. They should not be presented as an equivalent replacement for removing a large amount of excess skin.
You may also decide that you prefer the skin folds to the scars and recovery of surgery. That is a valid choice. The consultation should make room for it, rather than treating an operation as the inevitable next step after weight loss.
Who is a candidate for a body lift in Turkey?
A suitable candidate for a body lift in Turkey generally has significant skin laxity, a stable weight and health that allows a major elective operation. Both women and men can be assessed. Your goals also need to match what the proposed procedure can change.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons identifies nonsmoking, realistic expectations and good general health as important considerations. A photograph can support an initial discussion, but cannot replace assessment of scars, tissue quality and your medical history.
Weight stability and BMI
Tell the surgeon how much weight you have lost, how you lost it and whether your weight is still changing. There is no single waiting period or BMI number that establishes suitability for everyone. Ask what stability means in your case and why the team recommends proceeding or waiting.
Continuing major weight loss can create further looseness after surgery. Significant weight gain can also affect the result. If you are actively changing treatment for obesity, coordinate the timing with the clinician managing that care.
Previous operations and future pregnancy
Previous abdominal surgery, hernia repair and existing scars can influence the surgical plan. Bring relevant operation records where available. Mention earlier wound problems, blood clots, allergies, diabetes and any heart or lung condition.
Discuss pregnancy plans before abdominal lifting. Pregnancy may stretch the area again and change the result. The question is whether this is the right time for you, not simply whether an operation is technically possible.
Skin removal after bariatric surgery or medical weight loss
Before a body lift in Turkey, your weight-loss history deserves a separate conversation about nutrition. A smaller body size does not prove that protein, vitamin and mineral intake is adequate for healing.
An August 2026 ASPS report highlights nutritional challenges after bariatric surgery, GLP-1 treatment and combinations of the two. It recommends discussing eating habits and screening for deficiencies before body contouring. A dietitian may help build an individual plan.
Ask whether you need assessment for anaemia or deficiencies, how any problem will be corrected, and when the team will recheck readiness. A standard multivitamin is not a substitute for investigating a known deficiency. Avoid buying high-dose supplements without advice.
Tell the anaesthetist about weight-management medicines and any nausea, vomiting or other digestive symptoms. Obtain specific instructions about medication and fasting. Do not stop or change a prescribed treatment solely because of a general article or an online discussion.
It may be disappointing to delay surgery after arranging travel. Correcting a problem before an elective operation can be more useful than trying to manage it during recovery. Keep your nutrition plan in place afterwards as directed.
How much does a body lift in Turkey cost?

The price of a body lift in Turkey depends on the extent of skin removal, the operating team, facility, hospital care and any additional procedures. A starting price may be useful for early budgeting, but it cannot tell you what your own operation will involve.
| Published reference | Figure checked | Scope and limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Santé Clinic Turkey agency guide, dated 13 March 2026 | €5,000–€8,000 | Its published circumferential body lift guide range; not a verified quote for your surgeon and hospital |
| iMed Medical, Lower Body Lift 360 page | From €7,650 | An advertised starting figure from a medical tourism agency; request a written, itemised offer |
| ASPS United States lower body lift cost page | $11,397 | Reported average fee component; excludes anaesthesia, operating-room facilities and other related expenses |
| Upper body lift, revision or several body regions | Individual quotation | The combination and number of stages must be defined first |
These figures are not interchangeable. The Turkish guide range and agency starting offer have different scopes, while the US figure excludes major costs. They do not support a reliable percentage-saving claim, and none represents a Sevclinic price.
What should an all-inclusive package include?
When comparing a body lift in Turkey, ask for a list rather than relying on the words “all-inclusive.” Confirm the surgeon, anaesthetist and hospital first. Then check the exact hospital nights, accommodation, medicines, garments and follow-up visits.
| Cost area | Question to ask before payment |
|---|---|
| Surgical treatment | Does the price cover the named operation, any muscle repair and the agreed liposuction areas? |
| Tests and hospital care | Which tests and nights are included? Who pays if extra monitoring or treatment is needed? |
| Hotel and assistance | How many nights, and is practical or nursing help included rather than transport alone? |
| Aftercare | Who reviews wounds and drains? What happens after you return home? |
| Unexpected changes | What are the costs of postponement, a longer stay, complications or revision? |
| Travel | Are flights, companion accommodation and flexible return arrangements included? |
Keep a reserve for extra accommodation and changes to your return journey. If treatment must be staged, budget each operation and recovery separately. An attractive first-stage figure can be misleading when your goal requires several stages.
Insurance and medically necessary skin removal
Cosmetic lifting is commonly excluded from insurance. A symptomatic abdominal apron may be assessed differently under some policies, but that does not mean a complete circumferential lift is covered. Obtain written authorisation for the exact procedure and overseas treatment before assuming reimbursement.
How to choose a body lift surgeon in Turkey
The best surgeon for your body lift in Turkey should be selected through relevant training, experience with comparable patients and a clear safety plan. Review scores and social-media photographs cannot answer all three questions.
Dr Burak Pasinlioğlu has a public Istanbul listing in the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons directory. His own website describes belt lift treatment and states that he completed plastic surgery training at Gazi University in 2019. These are useful starting points for checking professional identity and discussing the procedure.
Dr Beşir Öner also publishes a body lift procedure page for his Istanbul practice. It describes treatment of excess skin around the abdomen, lower back, buttocks and thighs. A procedure page establishes what a practice advertises; it does not independently establish case volume, complication rates or suitability for your operation.
These examples are not a ranking or a statement that either doctor belongs to Sevclinic. Ask your proposed operating surgeon directly about experience after major weight loss, current hospital privileges and management of wound problems. Verify current professional details rather than relying on a copied biography.
- Who will perform each part of the operation, and who provides the anaesthetic?
- How many comparable circumferential lifts do you perform, and how are complications recorded?
- Can I see consented results in people with similar skin excess and body shape?
- Why do you recommend this scar pattern and this number of stages?
- Who sees me urgently at night, during the hotel stay and after I go home?
The broader guide to planning cosmetic surgery in Turkey helps organise these checks. You should understand the answers before deciding, with enough time to reconsider the operation.
Preparing for skin-removal surgery

Preparation for a body lift in Turkey includes a medical review, medication instructions and practical recovery arrangements. Send an accurate history before travel. Tell the team about previous surgery, medicines, supplements, tobacco, nicotine products, alcohol and allergies.
Smoking and nicotine use need an honest discussion. Ask the surgeon for a written cessation plan covering cigarettes, vaping and any replacement products. Explain what you currently use so the team can give appropriate instructions and support.
Some medicines and supplements affect bleeding or anaesthetic planning. The surgical team should agree changes with the relevant prescriber. Do not independently stop blood thinners, diabetes treatment or other prescribed medication.
Arrange help with meals, washing, dressing, transport and children. Test whether your accommodation has a lift, a suitable bathroom and a comfortable place to rest. Your companion should know how to contact the team and what would require urgent care.
Bring loose clothing that is easy to put on. Ask about garment fitting and whether you need spare dressings or other supplies. Get the care instructions in a language you understand, rather than relying on remembering a conversation after anaesthesia.
If your plan also includes breast reshaping and uplift, ask how the combined treatment changes washing and dressing. Arrange help for the full combination, rather than preparing only for the abdominal incision.
What happens during a lower body lift?
A lower body lift in Turkey is planned around the position and amount of excess tissue. The surgeon discusses the incision while you are standing, including how it will sit against the clothing you normally wear. Position changes during the operation may be needed to treat the front and back.
General anaesthesia is commonly used for circumferential surgery. The anaesthetist assesses the plan and your health beforehand. The operation removes a band of excess skin and associated fat, then lifts and supports the remaining tissues.
Abdominal muscle repair and selected liposuction may be part of the plan, but should be named explicitly. They are not automatic features of every belt lipectomy. Ask why each addition is recommended and how it changes recovery.
Deep sutures help support the contour, and the skin is closed using the chosen method. Dressings and sometimes drains are placed. The operation length, monitoring and hospital stay depend on the extent of treatment and your condition, rather than a fixed package timetable.
Safety, complications and the hospital plan

Safety during a body lift in Turkey depends on patient selection, surgical extent, anaesthesia and recovery support. No destination, certificate or particular technique removes the risks of a major operation.
ASPS lists bleeding, infection, fluid collections, wound-healing problems, skin or fat loss, altered sensation and unfavourable scars among possible complications. Asymmetry, persistent pain, swelling and recurrent looseness can occur. Further surgery may be needed.
Blood clots in the legs or lungs and anaesthetic, heart or breathing complications are also important. Ask how your personal clot risk is assessed and what prevention is appropriate. Do not start aspirin or other clot-prevention medication yourself.
A smaller first operation may be preferable if a large combination would create excessive strain or a difficult recovery. Ask the team to explain the expected duration, possible blood loss and whether staging changes the balance of benefits and risks.
Confirm the actual operating facility, recovery monitoring and arrangements for escalation or hospital transfer. Ask what happens if you need an extra night or urgent reassessment. A hotel booking and driver do not, by themselves, provide medical aftercare.
When to seek urgent help
Seek emergency medical help for chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, collapse or a new abnormal heartbeat. Sudden leg swelling or pain also needs urgent assessment, particularly after surgery or travel. Do not wait for a routine online follow-up.
Contact the surgical team promptly about fever, spreading redness, discharge, an opening wound, increasing bleeding or pain that is worsening despite the prescribed plan. Ask before discharge which symptoms require emergency care and which need a same-day surgical review.
Recovery after a body lift in Turkey

Recovery after a body lift in Turkey involves protecting a long incision while gradually becoming more mobile. Tightness, swelling and fatigue can make ordinary tasks difficult at first. Plan support before surgery, including after returning home.
MedStar Health describes roughly two to three weeks away from work or usual obligations, with significant lifting and strenuous activity avoided for six to eight weeks. These are general planning ranges. Your operation, job and healing may require more time.
| Stage | Typical priority | What remains individual |
|---|---|---|
| Initial recovery | Monitoring, pain control, assisted movement and wound care | Hospital discharge and the amount of help needed |
| First weeks | Follow-up, drain checks and protecting the incision | Resting position, garment use, showering and dressing changes |
| Around weeks 2–3 | Some people can resume suitable light work | Commuting, fatigue, sitting tolerance and job demands |
| Around weeks 6–8 | Review readiness for lifting and more demanding activity | Exercise clearance, abdominal work and physical employment |
| Following months | Monitor contour, swelling and scar development | How quickly tissues settle and whether further treatment is useful |
Drains, garments and washing
Drains remove fluid from under the skin. Ask whether to measure output, how to keep tubing secure and who will remove them. Removal depends on assessment; it should not be promised for a particular day solely to match your flight.
Wear the prescribed garment as instructed and report rubbing, pressure or skin changes. Tighter is not automatically better. Ask for help with fitting instead of adding extra compression yourself.
Get clear instructions for showering, dressings and keeping the area dry. Avoid soaking an incompletely healed incision in a bath, pool or sea. Do not apply scar products or arrange massage before the team confirms what is appropriate.
Sleeping, sitting, driving and everyday help
Your safest resting position depends on the incision and associated procedures. Ask the team to demonstrate how to get in and out of bed or a chair without straining the area. Do not follow a generic position that pulls painfully on your wound.
If you also have upper-arm skin removal, confirm how much you can use your arms to support yourself. The help you need may differ from someone having trunk surgery alone.
Driving requires more than reaching a particular postoperative day. You need to be free of impairing medication, move comfortably and react safely. Get clearance and check insurance requirements before driving.
After a body lift in Turkey, separate the date you can answer emails from the date you can lift shopping or children. Arrange practical cover for both. A return to desk work does not mean your incision is ready for heavy activity.
Returning to walking and exercise

Gentle walking is usually part of recovery, with the timing and amount set by your team. Early movement should be manageable and supported when needed. Avoid turning it into a fitness target or a long sightseeing outing.
Cleveland Clinic advises avoiding heavy lifting and exercise for about six weeks after lower body lifting. That is not automatic clearance on day 42. Ask for a phased plan that takes account of wound healing and any abdominal repair.
Keep the team informed if increasing activity brings new pain, swelling or wound changes. Running, resistance training and abdominal exercise place different demands on the body. They do not all need to restart together.
If treatment includes inner-thigh skin lifting, request walking and exercise guidance for those wounds too. A comfortable waist incision does not establish that another treated area is ready for more activity.
Scars, results and possible revision
The main trade-off with a body lift in Turkey is replacing loose folds with long, permanent scars. Their position can often be planned around clothing, but concealment is not guaranteed. Some abdominal patterns also require a vertical component.
Ask to see the scar plan from the front, side and back. Discuss existing scars and any history of thick or raised scarring. The best position for a photograph may not be the most practical position for the clothes you wear.
Contour changes may be visible early, while swelling and scar maturation continue much longer. ASPS notes that final development can take two years or more. A photograph at a few weeks does not show the settled result.
Once the incision has healed, ask about suitable scar care and protection from sunlight. No cream can promise an invisible scar. Weight changes, ageing and skin quality can affect the longer-term contour.
A revision may be considered for residual looseness, an uneven contour or an unsatisfactory scar. Timing depends on the problem and tissue recovery. Clarify in advance which follow-up and revision costs are covered, rather than assuming all later treatment is free.
Planning your stay in Istanbul and your flight home

Your stay for a body lift in Turkey should allow for the planned reviews and a change of plan if healing is slower. The final hotel night in a package is not, by itself, evidence that you are ready to fly.
The NHS warns that major surgery and air travel both increase blood-clot risk. Its general advice for tummy tucks should not be treated as clearance for a more extensive circumferential operation. Agree a return date with the treating team after assessment.
Before travel, confirm wound and drain review arrangements, your ability to move comfortably and any journey-specific precautions. Keep return arrangements flexible where possible. Ask about assistance with luggage and airport transfers so you do not need to lift or rush.
Choose recovery accommodation for access and support. Stairs, a low bed or a cramped bathroom can be more relevant than a hotel star rating. Arrange a companion or suitable professional help according to the care plan.
Carry the operation summary, medication list and contact details when going home. Know where to obtain local medical assessment if a problem develops. Routine travel insurance may exclude complications of planned surgery, so check the policy wording before departure.
Can body lifting be combined with other procedures?
A body lift in Turkey may be one stage in a wider treatment plan. Doing several procedures together can reduce the number of separate recoveries, but also increases the extent of a single operation. The recommendation should follow your health and priorities.
Loose upper-arm skin may require brachioplasty. Adding it to trunk surgery changes how you can use your arms during recovery. Ask how you would get out of bed, dress and use the bathroom.
A lower body lift may improve parts of the outer-thigh region. Significant inner-thigh excess can still need a separate medial thigh lift, with different scars and wound-care considerations. It should not be assumed to be included.
If breast position is another concern, discuss whether lifting existing breast tissue belongs in a later stage. That may make recovery easier to organise than treating every region in one session.
A buttock skin lift also differs from buttock augmentation using transferred fat. Removing lax skin and adding volume have different aims and risks. Ask which is proposed, why, and whether combining them is appropriate for you.
Request a sequence showing the purpose, recovery and cost of each stage. There is no prize for the largest operation. A plan that you can recover from safely and realistically is more valuable than fitting every procedure into one trip.
Video: what to expect after body lifting
In Life After Body Lift: What to Expect, plastic surgeon Dr Johan Brahme discusses areas treated after weight loss, staging and recovery support. Frequently asked questions
How much is a full body lift in Turkey?
The answer depends on what “full” includes. Published lower or circumferential lifting figures cannot price a plan that also includes arms, breasts or inner thighs. Ask for each procedure and stage to be named before comparing the total.
Is a 360 tummy tuck the same as a body lift?
The label is used inconsistently. It may describe circumferential skin removal, or a tummy tuck combined with liposuction around the waist. Ask whether skin is removed from the back, where the incision runs and whether a buttock lift is included.
How much weight will I lose?
There is no responsible kilogram promise for a body lift in Turkey. The amount of tissue removed varies, and this is not obesity treatment. Judge the decision by the skin problem, expected contour and risks rather than a target change on the scales.
Can men have skin-removal surgery?
Yes. The plan should reflect the distribution of excess tissue and the contour you want. A lower body lift does not automatically treat loose chest skin or enlarged breast tissue, which need separate examination.
Will the skin sag again?
Results can last, but remaining skin continues to age. Further weight loss, weight gain or pregnancy can change the contour. Some people develop residual or recurrent looseness and may discuss further treatment after healing.
Will skin removal get rid of stretch marks?
Marks on the skin that is removed go with that tissue. Stretch marks elsewhere remain. A smoother contour does not mean every stretch mark, dimple or surface irregularity will disappear.
Can I recover alone in a hotel?
Do not assume that you can. Ask what assistance is required after discharge, including wound care, meals, movement and transport. A remote messaging service is not equivalent to someone being available to help you physically or assess a wound.
Is the cheapest clinic the best value?
A price is useful only alongside a defined operation and care plan. Compare the operating surgeon, facility, aftercare and costs if something changes. A lower initial price may not remain lower if essential support or additional treatment is excluded.
Bring these questions to your consultation
Start with the areas that trouble you most, your weight history and the time and help you can realistically arrange. Ask for a scar drawing, a written treatment plan and a recovery schedule that fits your operation.
When you are ready to discuss a body lift in Turkey, contact Sevclinic with your questions and treatment goals. A consultation should help you understand the proposed approach, alternatives and total commitment before you decide.
